I was born in Istanbul and worked as a town planner in London for 27 years.I am now focussing on making documentaries which explore relationships between cities and people. I use film making to explore through my characters how cities affect people's lives and also my own feelings about places. I had tuition on documentary film making including editing and camera work via London –based Folie A Deux company. Stranger by the Sea, my second short film won the Best documentary Award in Berlin Short Film Festival 2020.
