Karin Ocal was born with disabilities. In this documentary, we are focusing on Karin’s inspiring journey who started her career as a professional swimmer and continued as a swimming coach due to a traffic accident.

Merve Bozcu
Merve Bozcu work as a director & writer and producer. After completing her BSc in engineering, she started the MA programme in Cinema and Television at Kadir Has University. She directed a feature documentary, Her First, about the challenges faced by women filmmakers in Turkey, a short fiction, Plastic Dream, about the pressure of beauty industry on women and a short documentary, Karin, about an Armenian disabled woman who is a swimmer coach. Her movies screened at many national and international film festivals and won several awards. She is an alumni of Sarajevo Talents (2022). She has participated many workshops such as Birds’ Eyes View’s Filmonomics: Reclaim the Frame X International programme and Netflix's SheShoots Programme.
