İzmir International Women Directors Festival Opens Calls for Its 10th Year: #WeDontGiveUp

The Izmir International Women Filmmakers Festival (IIWFF) is an international gathering that celebrates creative courage, feminist storytelling, and cinematic solidarity. Founded to increase the visibility of women in cinema, the festival has grown into an international platform that brings together filmmakers, producers, screenwriters, industry professionals, and audiences from around the world.

Over the past nine years, IIWFF has hosted hundreds of films from dozens of countries, creating space for bold narratives, underrepresented voices, and new cinematic collaborations. Today, the festival continues to support women-led stories while expanding conversations around equality, creative freedom, and cultural exchange.

The festival is open to productions in which at least one of the directors is a woman.

(Except for the Feminist Perspective category.)

10th Year Slogan: #WeDontGiveUp

The 10th Izmir International Women Filmmakers Festival will take place between March 26–31, 2027 in İzmir, Turkey.

During the festival, IIWFF will also host workshops, panels, masterclasses, and creative industry meetings. This year, the festival will also introduce the Izmir International Women Filmmakers Festival Project Development Awards for national productions. These awards aim to support projects in development and contribute to the creation of new women-centered narratives from Turkey.
