"Female State of Street" Virtual Exhbition of Gözde Yenipazarlı
Gözde YENİPAZARLIBorn in 1979, in İzmir. Graduated from İzmir ‘Dokuz Eylül’ University, Fine Arts Faculty, Photography Department in 2002; and from ‘Anadolu’ University, Marketing and Advertising Department, Media&Communications Program in 2017, same year she was published in the
special edition called “Young Inspirations” of ‘Geniş Açı’ photo magazine, with her project entitled “1998015001-1998015014”. In 2009, she received her master’s degree with the theme “The Role of Photography as the Image of Brands and Pirelli Calendars”. She had a solo exhibitions entitled “Photographic Diary” in 2010 at K2 Contemporary Art Center; “Beruhigt” in 2013 at İzmir Goethe Institute; and the same year, ”Lots to Spot” at the University of Exeter, Great Britain. In 2014 she participated as artist in the II. İstanbul Design Biennial with her work entitled “After the Truman Show”; in 2016 she participated as artist in the III. İstanbul Design Biennial with the work entitled “Numbing”. Her works were published in 2004 in the book entitled “The Nude in Turkish Photography” edited by Alberto Modiano; and in 2016 in the book entitled “Modern and Contemporary Approches to Photography in Turkey” written by Engin Özendes. She held a solo exhibition entitled “Walking Anywhere” at Nafi Güral Art Gallery in 2018.
She produces conceptual photographs about the perception in life of art and esthetic concepts. And also creates by getting inspired of wandering, exporation, beign on the road, road itself, and living in the city.
Gözde Yenipazarlı, presently works as Research Assistant at the Photography Department of Fine Arts Faculty, Dokuz Eylül University, carrying on her PHD program and academic- artistic endeavors in the same department.
