Dana Bunescu

Dana Bunescu is a Romanian film editor and sound designer. A Physics graduate from the University of Bucharest, she later studied Editing and Sound at the National University of Theatre and Film. She has collaborated with key Romanian New Wave directors like Cristi Puiu (The Death of Mr. Lăzărescu), Cristian Mungiu (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days), Călin Peter Netzer (Ana, mon amour), and Radu Jude (Aferim!, Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn). She co-directed the documentaries The Distance Between Me and Me and The Chalice. Of Sons and Daughters. In 2017, she received the Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution at Berlinale for her editing on Ana, mon amour.
