Irene von Alberti is a director, author and producer based in Berlin, Germany. She is a co-founder of Filmgalerie 451. Her directorial work includes PAUL BOWLES - HALF MOON, a film adaptation of three short stories by the American cult author Paul Bowles, an episode of the omnibus film CITY AS PREY, the feature-length film TANGERINE with Nora Waldstätten and Alexander Scheer, shot in Tangier/Morocco. THE LONG SUMMER OF THEORY, which premiered at the 2017 Munich Film Festival, and the political satire
PROTECTED MEN based on the novel by the French writer Robert Merle. As a producer, she has realised films by Monika Treut, Robert Schwentke, Omer Fast, Angela Schanelec, Elfi Mikesch and others. She is a member of the German and European Film Academy and Pro Quote Film.
