
Synopsis
Maggie Fooke created the Brooklyn Arts Hotel in Fitzroy, Melbourne, Australia as a play to stay for ‘Artists and lovers of the Arts’. When for financial reasons she decided to sell the building and close the hotel, she invited friends and guests to help her document this quirky and beloved institution’s last 100 days.

Belinda Lloyd completed filmmaking studies at RMIT in 2004 and has since written a feature-length screenplay (Psyche - a dramedy - shortlisted for Film Victoria/VicScreen funding) and directed and produced a number of short films, including 'My Mother's House' (2018) - an experiment exploring impressionist filmmaking and memoir documentary. TO THANK THE ROOM is her first feature documentary.
