Nebiye Arı is a documentary director and journalist. She has worked for various television and digital newspapers to date. Continuing her work in Istanbul, Arı focuses on sensitive gender equality issues such as Islam and feminism in Türkiye. Her documentary Both Muslim and Feminist, which she completed in 2020, focuses on the stories of Muslim feminists in Türkiye and addresses the rise of Islamic feminism and the challenges these women face. This documentary was screened at festivals such as the 40th Istanbul Film Festival, the 4th International Women Directors Festival, and the 24th Flying Broom International Women's Film Festival.
