Synopsis

In Istanbul, Nergis, a 28-year-old living alone, purchases a second-hand washing machine. When Süleyman, a 35-year-old porter, struggles to deliver the heavy appliance, Nergis's compassion leads her to assist. At Nergis' home, her acts of kindness towards Süleyman create a comfortable atmosphere. However, as they attempt to engage in conversation, the effort to connect sincerely results in a tense dynamic that reveals the nuances of sincerity and the thin line of personal boundaries.

Tuvana Simin Günay

She completed her undergraduate studies in cinema at Istanbul University and the University of Wroclaw. She earned a master’s in Cinema at Kadir Has University. Starting her editing career in 2019, many of her projects won awards at major festivals. She is the creative director for the documentary Days of Love, Fire, and Anarchy. During quarantine, she created a 2.5-minute film, The Beginning of the Day, which won multiple awards. Her latest short, Dank, has been a finalist at numerous significant festivals.
