Nesra Gürbüz

Producer, Project Coordinator, and Founder of Monomit Film. Nesra Gürbüz studied International Relations at METU and received a master's degree in Cultural Studies at Bilgi University. She started producing in 2012 and joined Sarajevo Talent Campus and IDFAcademy. She participated in various co-production markets and presented her projects, including Cinelink, which awarded her with an EAVE scholarship, Holland Film Meeting, Meetings on the Bridge (several awards including CNC Award) and Antalya Film Forum. She is the co-producer of the Turkish-German co-production film "Sivas" which won the Special Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival in 2014. The Hamburg Film Fund supported-film "Toz Bezi", which Gürbüz produced, made its international premiere in the Forum section of the Berlin Film Festival in 2016; the film won the Best Film, Best Screenplay and Best Actress awards at the Istanbul Film Festival.  Having worked as an executive producer and project coordinator in many films, Gürbüz founded her own production company Monomit Film in 2019. She completed her short films “Zaman Yolcusu Kreta (2023)” with the support of Borusan Holding and “Gukla (2024)” with the support of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, Türk Tuborg and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. In the same year, she received the Feature Film Production Support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism with the project named "Orada Mısın?", of which she is the main producer. Currently continuing to work on documentary, feature and TV series projects, Gürbüz is a graduate of the EAVE Producers Workshop in 2013 and a member of the Asia Pacific Film Academy.
