Synopsis

Trust Me is a documentary that explores the relationship between actors and directors in film production through the lens of trust. Through interviews with both actors and directors, the film brings together diverse experiences of collaboration within the creative process. Personal accounts from in front of and behind the camera reveal how trust is built in acting and directing practices, and how it shapes the filmmaking process. The film was developed in connection with a practice-based study focusing on the actor–director relationship.

Aybike Turan

She graduated from the Industrial Engineering department at Sabancı University, completed her MA in Theatre at Haliç University, and holds a Proficiency in Arts degree in Cinema & TV from Maltepe University. She has been actively working across stage, television, and film for over 15 years. As one of the co-founders of Bi’Tık Tiyatro, she continues to perform in her first play, 45 Seconds, which she wrote and directed, while also working as a lecturer at Istanbul Bilgi University.
