
Synopsis
“Her Name is Woman” portrays the powerful life story of Ayşe Hanım, who has been living on dialysis for 22 years. Despite undergoing four-hour dialysis sessions every two days, she remains actively engaged in all aspects of daily life, from household work to childcare. Having given birth to two children during her treatment, Ayşe Hanım’s story offers a compelling portrait of resilience, hope, and an unwavering commitment to life.

Mehtap Şamiloğlu

Mehtap Şamiloğlu was born in 1989 in Istanbul. She studied Business Administration at Abant İzzet Baysal University. Later, she graduated from Eskişehir Anadolu University with a second university degree in finance. She received her acting education at Craft Acting Workshop. She worked as an assistant director for the plays Kalp, Yutmak, Yeşil Arabalar, Evlat, which were part of Craft Theater. In addition to these, she is a photographer and short film director. She directed SEDE Documentary Film, Yaz Tatili Documentary Film, Dönuş Short Film. Adı Kadın Documentary will start its festival journey in 2025.
