NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ''SHORT IS LIFE'' SHORT FILM CATEGORY JURY

Dr. Simge Gökbayrak completed her BA in Cinema and Television at Anadolu University and her MA in Film and Drama at Kadir Has University. She received her PhD from Anadolu University with a dissertation on cyborgization and cyborg art. Since 2019, she has been a faculty member at Yaşar University, Department of New Media and Communication, teaching courses in digital storytelling, video production, and new media practices. Her academic work focuses on posthumanism, cyborg art, and the relationship between technology and society.

Since 2005, Gökbayrak has been involved in over 100 projects across advertising, cinema, and music videos. Her short films İz (2011) and ID (2008) have been screened at national and international festivals, with ID receiving several awards. She continues to combine academic research with creative production, serves as a jury member at various festivals, and has been a board member of EkoFilm – Sustainable Production Platform since 2024.
